World Building update #1!
I rolled for “The Saint, The Sinner”, an ongoing dark fantasy series that follows blind protagonist Camaranth and his controversial, ex-lover, Distreal.
Magick is abundant in this world and it is gifted from the Divine.
In the TSTS universe, the Divine are categorized into two groups depending on what kind of magick and power they bestow on their subjects and what the recepient must sacrifice to reap such benefits.
A simpler understanding is that they are divided into two groups, “Lawful” and “Unlawful” magick.
Lawful magick requires the practioner to sacrifice a part of themselves whereas unlawful magick requires sacrifices of others, not the practioner. Lawful magick comes from the Divine pantheon known as The Six. Unlawful magick comes from a pantheon known as The Four.
Those who chose magick from one of The Six are known as “Saints” because of their typical, virtuous nature. Those who choose magick from one of The Four are usually called “Demons” because of their typical brutal and viscious nature. Whether you be a Saint or Demon, all practioners are considered Human in this world, even the “Horned Devils.”
Below are the two fields fo Magick practice. I won’t go into details on the divine but it is through them that power is granted. The divine go by two names, a direct name and their “divine title” which is associated with their branch of magick/power. I use the divine titles below.
The Truth Seeker shows the path. Those who practice this magick may display powers of or power over pale light, the moon, veracity/truth, holy magick, purification, intuition, foresight, prophecy, and telepathy.
The Water Bearer replinshes and brings life. Those who practice this magick may display powers of or power over pure creation, water, healing, sound, and communication with the sea and ocean things.
The Soul Catcher communes with spirits. Those who practice this magick may display powers of or power daemons, astral projection, spirit guides, totems, shamanism, protection, invocation and evocation of spirits.
The Earthmover is grounded. Those who practice this magick may display powers of or powers over the earth, stone, gems, communication with animals, growth, wood, spring and earthly cleansing and healing.
The Lightbringer carries the immortal flame. Those who practice this magick may display powers of or power over fire, light, heat, wind, cleansing, renewal, flight, and air.
The Hero Eternal is a champion among the Divine. Those who practice this magick may display powers of or power over holy magick, strength, speed, cunning, weapons, bravery, and purity of heart, mind and soul.
The Bloodless one demands blood. Those who practice this magick are bestowed the powers of the Berserker. May display powers of blood magick, mental and emotional dmoninace, extreme strength and speed. The berserker’s might is unmatched.
The Lifeless one demands souls. Those who practice this magick are bestowed the powers of the Necromancer. May display powers over the undead, the cold, ice, snow, death, rot, disease. The Necromancer controls the night.
The Formless one demands flesh. Those who practice this magick are bestowed the powers of the Shifter. May display powers over beasts and unholy beasts, shapeshifting, strength, heightened senses, and air/shadow magick. The Shifter preys upon the living.
The Limitless one demands bone and death. Those who practice this magick are bestowed the powers the Warlock. May display powers of storm, lightning, flame, gales, wood, self healing, life drain, and psychic feeding. The Warlock has limitless potential.

This whole universe sounds so fucking cool. I love how the Lawful and Unlawful are delineated between self-sacrifice and other sacrifice.
